How could children receive services?

Children can receive immediate psychological assistance via phone 8009000. Helpline provides non-stop assistance 7x24. Helpline can be reached free of charge from any fixed phone. Probably in the nearest future services will be available from mobile phones of particular operators. 

What assistance is provided?

• Provides immediate emotional and psychological assistance to any child, teenager or youngster in trouble;
• Provides preventive work in schools and in support groups;
• Disseminates of knowledge on human reactions in crisis or facing violence, on children rights and on methods of self-aid and mutual aid;
• Provides information about opportunities to receive social, psychological and legal assistance from other institutions all around Latvia;
• Provides any service anonymously.
• Provides consultations via e-mails.

What are objectives of society "Children and Youth Trust Phone"?

• To develop sustainable system to combat and reduce violence against children in Latvia via preventive work in schools and support groups at the same time enhancing system of assistance for children in trouble.
• In nearest future the main activities beside preventive work in schools are related to support groups for following target groups
